2020 is almost over and it’s about damn time you met Tesher; this raven haired Desi musical talent creates sizzling remixed tracks by blending old school backbeats with new music and is now officially on the map.
Tesher is a 25 y/o Canadian-Indian native that has recently rattled the world of hip hop/rap-music with his catchy remixes that’ll make your head bop so hard you just may get a concussion. He effortlessly scrambles Bollywood music with Latin or American Hip Hop, you’d think he was serving you breakfast. I mean, the beats are fluffy, the vibe is fire; he’s definitely doing something right.
His 2020 banger, Young Shahrukh Khan has got everyone noticing. The lyrics are spicy and make you feel like a modern Don Corleone; which is precisely the type of energy Tesher wants to relay through his music to his fans.
“I came home after a Raptors game a while ago and I was vibing off the crowd’s electricity so hard, I just let it carry me and wrote Young Shahrukh that night. I never for a second thought it would go viral, but here we are; I feel blessed.”
Having grown up in an Indian Household situated in a very Canadian community, Tesher has managed to mingle the two cultures and use that as a spring board to launch his creative process and newly budding Hip Hop career.
When asked what artist he is most inspired by, the man didn’t even take a breath before uttering the word: DRAKE. No hesitation, no pause. It was endearing to say the least.
‘If Drake can make it out of Toronto and dominate, that gives me hope I can get out of Saskatchewan and make a colossal splash!”
Among Bollywood artists, Tesher feels most alive when listening to powerful voices such as Sukhwinder Singh, Miss Pooja, AR Rahman, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to name a few. And in the Latin industry, he looks to J Balvin and Rosalia’s musical rhythms for some of that dutty dutty.
Later this year, Tesher released another fun banger: Justin Bieber (Yummy) - Jalebi Baby, that had people grooving so hard they demanded an original track without the Justin Bieber sound bite. And thus was born, Jalebi Baby, a Tesher original, make sure to watch out for that, coming soon!
“I’m very excited to put out my own music in the near future and am so thankful my job is what I love to do! I get to make the kind of music that is kind of a of catch-all for hip hop/rap/Bollywood and I won’t be stopping until world domination!”
